Marvel Universe Roleplay
A bearded, tough SHIELD agent.
Riley is a level five S.H.I.E.L.D. specialist, which means that he does anything he must to finish his task. He’s well versed in combat, in both hand to hand, and in firearms. His preferred weapons are his grandfather’s Remington pistol, and his ax.
His axe is quite unusual, made from a reinforced carbide material. The entire thing can fold down to the size of a wallet, and can be unfolded quite quickly, with the press of a fingerprint scanner biologically locked to Riley.
The pistol is quite standard, built for an Officer in World War 2, which was infact, Riley’s grandfather. The pistol was outfitted with a custom bored barrel, and several different internal pieces, making it quite the accurate, reliable piece.
He had many, many gadgets and other pieces of equipment at his disposal, given to him by S.H.I.E.L.D. He carried just enough to remain ready for whatever might happen to him on a daily basis, but had a storehouse in several cities with more specialized equipment and weaponry for whatever the job might call for.

Riley was born in Helena, Montana, to a ranching family. He grew up around animals and farmmwork, making him strong and well founded. His family has always been one to serve the United States of America in the military, starting back with the first generation of refugees from Ireland, back in the late 1890’s.
Riley was no exception to this. When he turned eighteen, he enlisted into the Marine Core. He excelled in everything he did, quickly gaining the rank of First Sergeant. He took every training course he could, learning as much as he could. In his sixth year of service, he was selected to join a black ops group within the Marine Core. He readily accepted, wanting to serve his country as far as he could. He was trained further, now in hand to hand, in cybernetics and robotics, and much more than he could have possibly dreamed of.
His first mission in this group, who’s name has been redacted and expunged in every form of file, was to infiltrate a PMC (Private Military Corp), and find out what their intentions were. The group was mysterious, and it took RIley several months to gain access to the finer details, but what he found was quite terrible. The group was responsible for feeding information of the USMC’s movements to several terrorist organizations across the world, and selling arms and ammunition to whoever would buy.
Riley, being the upstanding man he was, reported his findings, but was given no furthered instructions. Another month passed, and he continued to witness more and more evil workings, as the group was quite thorough about keeping loose ends to a minimum. Finally one day, the PMC’s commander told Riley he was incharge of an operation, one that he entirely disagreed with. He took his commands, and began the operation, though, instead of following his orders, he disobeyed. He gave the soldiers there a choice, to surrender to the United States Marine Corp, and be punished as was reasonable, or to fight. Of course, a fight ensued, and over the course of several days, Riley dismantled the entire PMC to the best of his abilities, and handed it all over to his superiors in the USMC.
Apparently, he bit off more than he could chew, as several of his commanding officers in the Marine Corp were quick to protect the PMC’s, and have them cleared of all charges. Riley, on the other hand, was less fortunate. He was dishonorably discharged, and sent away from all United States armed forces. He wasn’t even allowed to buy a gun, given his record. This is where S.H.I.E.L.D. came into play.
A man in a dark suit, sunglasses, and the general aura of mystery came to Riley one day at his families farm, and offered him a way to clear his name, and bring justice to those that needed it. RIley was ready to accept. He took the offer, and signed on with S.H.I.E.L.D, as a level one field agent. All information he knew about the group he investigated was given over to them, and from there, several arrests were made, and a few changes in the Marine Core’s enlisted officers happened.
From there, RIley excelled again as an agent for S.H.I.E.L.D. Every mission he succeeded with flying colors, every test was a breeze. He moved up in the ranks quickly, making it to Level Five, and became a specialist. Which involved several years of training.
Now, Riley lives where he’s told, doing what he’s told. He’s thirty four, and ready to work. Currently, he’s in New York. Brooklyn, to be exact.
